Why are future visions important?

The surest way to predict the future is to create it yourself

A vision describes a desirable future. Although it is difficult to present a vision for the future, and the risk of misinterpretation, criticism and condemnation is great, humanity needs visions more than ever. Why? Without visions for the future, we cannot analyze the pros and cons of ditto, or do planning or activities to get there. Without visions of the future, humanity will be more of a slave to technology development and companies' marketing strategies.

At the present stage of human development, it is extra important to analyze holistic solutions because civilization is complexly intertwined in terms of energy, production, transportation, food, economy, and so on. At the same time, there are dozens of global challenges that must be mitigated or resolved to escape a major collapse.

Global sustainability and future visions is therefore not a noble gesture but a harsh survival strategy. Fortunately, there are fantastic opportunities to realize visions of the future that create a paradise for everyone on the planet.
